# General settings

General settings for CAS Advanced Gang System: framework, currency, language, commands, the ledger prompt, the map blip, debug and history.

## Framework

```lua
Config.Framework = 'auto'
```

| Value                          | Behaviour                                                                                                                                                                                            |
| ------------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `'auto'` | Uses whichever framework runs: `vorp_core`, `rsg-core`, or `redemrp_main` / `redemrp`. Waits up to a minute for one that starts late, and lets one that starts even later take over from standalone. |
| `'vorp'`, `'rsg'`, `'redemrp'` | Uses that framework and waits for it. It never falls back to standalone. |
| `'standalone'` | No framework: no money and no items. See [Standalone](/script-documentation/cas-advanced-gang/frameworks/standalone.md). |

Any other value is reported in the console and runs standalone.

## Currency

```lua
Config.VorpCurrency = 0        -- VORP: 0 = dollars, 1 = gold, 2 = rol
Config.RsgMoneyType = 'cash'   -- RSG: 'cash', 'valbank' or 'bloodmoney'
```

The founding fee, the treasury, tier costs, upkeep and kick refunds all use this currency.

## Language

```lua
Config.Locale = 'en'   -- 'en', 'de', 'fr' or 'tr'
```

Switches every console line, notice, ledger note, prompt and the whole interface. See [Languages](/script-documentation/cas-advanced-gang/translation/languages.md).

## Commands

```lua
Config.OpenCommand   = 'camp'        -- opens and closes the ledger, from anywhere
Config.CreateCommand = 'creategang'  -- opens the gang creator
```

Rename either to suit your server. Messages that mention a command use the name you set.

{% hint style="info" %}
RedM has no key mapping for resources. Players bind the ledger to a key themselves: `bind keyboard F5 "camp"`.
{% endhint %}

## The ledger prompt

```lua
Config.PromptControl  = 0xD51B784F   -- the E key
Config.PromptLabel    = 'Camp Ledger'
Config.PromptHold     = true         -- true = hold to open, false = press
Config.PromptDistance = 2.0          -- metres from the ledger table
```

The prompt is RedM's own. With `PromptHold = true` it shows the game's hold ring, with `false` one press opens the ledger. It's hidden while you place structures, because it shares its key with the turn control. The Alarm Bell uses the same key and is always a hold.

## Map blip

```lua
Config.CampBlip = {
  enabled = true,
  sprite  = 'blip_camp',   -- a RedM blip name or hash; -1 keeps the default marker
  scale   = 0.2,
  label   = 'Gang Camp',
}
```

Each member sees a blip on their own camp only.

## Debug and history

```lua
Config.LedgerHistory = 200     -- ledger entries kept per gang
Config.Debug         = false   -- print every request and refusal to the console
```

Turn on `Config.Debug` when something is refused and you want to see why. Every refusal is printed with the player's id and the reason.
