# Installation

Install CAS Boxing on a RedM server: add cas-boxing to server.cfg, framework auto-detection (VORP, RSG, standalone), dollars, gold and Fight Tokens, and setting up a ring.

## 1. Add the resource

Extract `cas-boxing` into your `resources` folder and add it to `server.cfg`:

```
ensure cas-boxing
```

If you also own **CAS Fight Club**, start the map first:

```
ensure cas-fightclub
ensure cas-boxing
```

## 2. Framework

Nothing to set up. The script detects **VORP** or **RSG** by itself, and runs in standalone mode (with its own cash per player) when neither is running. To force one, set `Config.Framework` to `'vorp'`, `'rsg'` or `'standalone'`.

## 3. Currencies (optional)

Bouts can be fought for dollars, gold or Fight Tokens.

* **Dollars:** work out of the box.
* **Gold:** works out of the box on VORP. On RSG, set `rsgItem` to the name of your gold item, or gold stays off.
* **Fight Tokens:** add an item named `boxing_token` to your inventory's item list, or turn tokens off:

```lua
{ id = 'tokens', kind = 'item', item = 'boxing_token', enabled = false },
```

## 4. A ring

Players fight on an arena.

* **With CAS Fight Club:** its ring is added automatically. Nothing to do.
* **Without it:** add at least one ring to `Config.Arenas` in `shared/config.lua`. See [Configuration](/script-documentation/cas-boxing-and-fight-club/cas-boxing/configuration.md#arenas).

## 5. Restart

Restart the server. Player records are saved to `boxing_data.json` inside the resource folder; keep that file when you update.
