# Permissions

Admin permissions for the RedM Duel & Arena System. Grant the duels.admin ACE to run tournaments, cancel duels and measure arenas on VORP, RSG or standalone.

Players need no permission at all. Challenging, queueing, entering tournaments, fighting outlaws, spectating and betting are open to everyone with a character loaded.

One ACE permission controls the admin command, `/duel_admin`:

```lua
Config.AdminAce = 'duels.admin'
```

## Grant it to a group

```cfg
add_ace group.admin duels.admin allow
```

Change `group.admin` to whichever group your staff is in.

## Grant it to one person

```cfg
add_principal identifier.license:YOUR_LICENSE group.admin
```

or give the permission straight to the identifier:

```cfg
add_ace identifier.license:YOUR_LICENSE duels.admin allow
```

## The server console

The console can always run `duel_admin`, without a permission. Some subcommands take an extra player id when run from the console. See [Commands and Controls](/script-documentation/cas-duel-arena-system/commands.md).

## Framework admin groups

The duel system checks ACE only. VORP and RSG admin groups are not read directly. If your staff are already in an ACE group such as `group.admin`, the line above is all you need.

## What a player without the permission sees

Running `/duel_admin` without the permission shows "You are not allowed to do that." and does nothing.
