# Bench Interface

The CAS Gunsmith bench interface — opening and closing, the three-panel layout, camera controls, weapon statistics, the work order and payment.

## Opening and closing

Walk up to the bench in a gunsmith shop. When the **Use the Bench** prompt appears, hold E. The prompt does not appear while mounted or in a vehicle.

ESC closes an open window first, then exits Inspect mode, and finally closes the bench.

The bench closes on its own if you walk away, mount a horse or die. The inventory is locked while the bench is open.

## Layout

| Area | Contents |
| ------ | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Left | Weapons in the inventory and the record card of the selected weapon. |
| Centre | The 3D view of the weapon, camera tools and weapon statistics. |
| Right | Tabs and the work order. |

In the weapon list, the equipped weapon is tagged **Equipped**, and weapons that need maintenance are tagged **Dirty** or **Damaged**.

The record card shows the owner, serial number, date first logged, the shop it was logged at, date of last service and where the weapon is (**Equipped** or **Satchel**).

## Camera

| Control | Action |

## Statistics

The **Weapon Statistics** panel shows Damage, Accuracy, Range, Fire Rate and Reload. Hovering an option or adding a part to the work order shows the change in the same panel.

## Work order and payment

Every change is added to the work order as a line with its price. Lines can be removed one by one. The total is shown at the bottom of the work order.

| Button | Action |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Apply & Pay | Opens the payment window. |
| Cancel | Reverts every change in the work order. |
| Save Preset | Saves the current look as a preset. |
| Restore to Stock | Adds the changes that return the weapon to its factory look to the work order. |

At payment, the **Confirm the Work** window shows the current cash, the amount to pay and the cash left after paying. After confirmation, the server recalculates the price, takes the money and applies the changes to the weapon. When it is done, the **Work Complete** window opens.

Switching to another weapon while there are unpaid changes asks for confirmation in the **Leave the Bench?** window.

## When changes apply

* On the equipped weapon, parts, maintenance and ammo type apply right after payment.
* On a weapon in the satchel, parts are saved to the inventory. Maintenance and ammo type apply the next time the weapon is equipped.
