# FAQ

Answers about the RedM Shooting Range & Competition script: VORP and RSG Core support, standalone, database, weapons, wagers, ranges, languages and performance.

## Which frameworks does it support?

VORP Core and RSG Core. The framework is detected on its own. It does not run standalone, because profiles, money and items belong to a character.

## Do I need to import an SQL file?

No. The five tables are created the first time the resource starts. You only need to add the `range_token` item if you keep Range Tokens enabled.

## Is oxmysql required?

Yes. Profiles, match history, practice records, held stakes and pending payments are stored in MySQL through oxmysql.

## Does it take the player's own weapon or ammo?

No. With a supplied match weapon, a player who does not own the weapon is lent one and it is removed at the end. A weapon the player already owns is never touched. During the match the server counts the ammunition itself, so the player's ammo is not used.

## Can players get hurt at the range?

Not by default. Shooters cannot be hurt during a match unless the host turns on Friendly Fire.

## Can several matches run at the same time?

Yes. Every match and practice run reserves its own lanes. A range runs as many as its lanes allow, and every range works independently.

## How many players can be in one match?

Two, or up to four in Head-to-Head Elimination. The range's lane count is the upper limit.

## Can I turn off wagers?

Yes. Turn off each currency in `Config.Currencies`. With all three off, every match is free. Rating still works.

## Where does the commission go?

Nowhere. It is removed from the prize pool, which makes it a money sink for your economy. Set `Config.Commission.AllowOff = false` to make it mandatory.

## What happens to the money if the server crashes mid-match?

Every held stake is refunded automatically the next time each player loads a character.

## Can I add my own ranges?

Yes. Stand where the firing line should be and run `/shootingadmin here <range id>`. See [Shooting Ranges](/script-documentation/cas-shooting-range/ranges.md).

## Can I change the tournament format?

Yes. Mode, rounds, weapon, targets, distance, entry fee, commission, slots, payouts and every timer are in `Config.Tournament`. See [Tournaments](/script-documentation/cas-shooting-range/tournaments.md).

## Is it translated?

English is included. Every text is in one language file, and the menu reads it from the server, so a new language needs no rebuild. See [Languages and Translation](/script-documentation/cas-shooting-range/languages.md).

## Does it use a lot of resources?

No. The per frame work on the client only runs next to a range master or during a match. Away from the ranges, the client only checks its distance a couple of times a second. On the server, one light loop settles every live match.
