CAS Advanced Tattoo System is a tattoo parlour and a tattoo artist job for RedM. The tattoos are inked into the game's own body textures, the way the game blends its face overlays, so they follow the skin, sit under every piece of clothing and show to every other player. The session is played with Rockstar's own scenes, props and prompts.

The customer walks up to the stool and holds E, strips down to the underwear and picks a design from the flash book. While a design is chosen its stencil shows on the customer's own skin, with the camera on the spot. Then the needle works, and the ink comes in bit by bit while you watch. A player artist on duty does it all for the customer and names the price; without one, the customer buys from the house.

## Highlights

* **Real tattoos on the skin.** Arms, hands, chest, back, ribs, stomach, thighs, calves and shins, bands round the limbs, and the face, neck and head, for male and female characters, every skin tone and body shape.
* **166 designs on 14 pages** of period flash in solid India black: sailor, frontier, sweetheart, faith, patriot, beasts, blackwork, grand back pieces, face pieces, geometric pieces, bands, marks, sets and full sleeves. See The flash book.
* **A flash book with a body chart.** Pick a page, a design and the spot. The book knows what overlaps (a sleeve covers the forearm, wrist and upper arm). See [Playing](/script-documentation/cas-tattoo/gameplay.md).
* **The stencil on your skin** before a drop of ink, and the camera on the spot.
* **Player artists.** Go on duty, choose for the customer, name your price inside a set range, send the offer and work the needle with a steady hand. See [The artist job](/script-documentation/cas-tattoo/artist.md).
* **The house.** When no player artist is on duty, the customer buys from the book at the house price. An optional house artist (an NPC) walks over and does the work with Rockstar's drawing clips and the 1891 tattoo machine.
* **Face, neck and head tattoos**, built into the character creator's face texture. See Face, neck and head.
* **Salt rub removal**, the period method.
* **Parlours placed in game** by admins with a ghost of the whole scene. See Commands.
* **Money safety.** A paid session that never gets finished is refunded, or kept as money owed and paid on the next visit.
* **No database.** Tattoos are kept per character in the resource's own storage (KVP).
* **VORP and RSG**, detected by themselves.
* **Every text in one file** (`config/locale.lua`).
