# Installation

Install CAS Advanced Tattoo System on a RedM server: one folder, ensure it after VORP or RSG, give the artist jobs. No SQL and no items.

1. Put the `cas-tattoo` folder in your `resources`.
2. Add `ensure cas-tattoo` to `server.cfg`, after your framework (`vorp_core` or `rsg-core`).
3. Give your tattoo artists one of the jobs in `Config.ArtistJobs` (default `tattoo`, `tattooist`, `tattooartist`).
4. Restart the server. Players download the tattoo textures once (about 26 MB).

There is nothing to import: no SQL file, no items. Tattoos are kept in the resource's own storage (KVP).

## Requirements

* VORP Core or RSG Core.
* A RedM client from May 2025 or later. These builds sync body textures to other players (three texture categories per ped), so everyone sees the tattoos. Every current RedM client has it.

## The default parlour

One parlour ships, on the covered walkway of the Saint Denis south docks: a backless stool, the artist's supply cart with its lamp, and the house. Add more in `config/parlours.lua` or in game with `/tattoosetup` (see Commands).

## Face, neck and head tattoos

They go on the face texture the character creator builds. CAS Character Creator does it by itself; vorp\_character and rsg-character need two short additions. See Face, neck and head. Without them the head tattoos are sold and kept but do not show, or set `Config.HeadTattoos = false` to take the head spots out of the book.

## Escrow

`config/*.lua` stays readable in the escrow version: the main config, the designs and prices, the parlours and the locale.
