# A Tour of the Garden

A tour of CAS Wedding Venue: the ceremony lawn, the reception, the photo corner, the fountain lounge, the entrance and the evening lights of the Mayor's Garden in Saint Denis.

The venue fills the lawn of the Mayor's mansion in Saint Denis. It is laid out in six areas, from the ceremony at the porch to the reception across the lawn.

## The ceremony lawn

The ceremony faces the Mayor's porch.

* A **custom floral arch** before the porch, with the officiant's **podium** beneath it.
* **Two cherub statues**, candle groups and planters framing the arch.
* **48 white chairs** in twelve sections, six rows on each side of the aisle.
* A **gala runner** down the aisle, strewn with **custom rose petals**.
* **Candelabras** along the rows.
* Two **custom hearts** and planters where the aisle begins.
* A **string quartet corner** beside the rows with a cello, a harp, two music stands and two chairs. With NPC guests out, a fiddler and a guitarist take those chairs and play.

The couple's spot is on the aisle just before the podium. A wedding script can start its ceremony there. See [Using It With a Wedding Script](/script-documentation/cas-weddingvenue/integration.md).

## The reception

* **Six round guest tables** with cloths, centrepieces and candles, **36 chairs** around them.
* The couple's **sweetheart table**: two Victorian chairs before a **custom backdrop**, between **custom balloon clusters**, with candelabras, flowers, a cupid statue and champagne.
* A **custom wedding cake** on a mahogany table, with candelabras and balloons.
* A **dessert pavilion**: a gala tent with a punch bowl, a pie stand, a fruit platter and a champagne bucket.
* A **phonograph** on a side table.

## The photo corner

* A photographer's **studio camera**.
* A **heart of 24 candles** laid out on the lawn in front of it.
* **Custom balloon clusters** on both sides.

## The fountain lounge

* The garden **fountain**.
* Two **stone benches**, two seats each, facing it.
* Planters on either side.

## The entrance

* **Custom balloons**, planters and two street lamps at the garden gate.
* A **flower stall**.
* A **gift and guestbook table** with an open journal and a wedding chest.

## The evening

* **19 torch posts** around the whole venue, always lit.
* After dark, a **soft warm light** falls over the tables, the candles and the cake. See [Night lights](/script-documentation/cas-weddingvenue/configuration.md#night-lights).

## How it is built

* **No MLO, no YMAP and no changes to the game map.** The props are placed on the existing lawn when a player comes near, so the venue never clashes with another map or with the mansion itself.
* **Streamed on demand.** It appears within 140 m of the garden and is removed beyond 170 m. Props are created a few per frame, so arriving does not cause a hitch.
* The heights come from the real ground of the garden, so every table and chair stands on the lawn.
* Staff can show or hide it for everyone with `/wedding_venue`.
